Made entirely from recycled materials, the URBN hotel in Shanghai has been called the world’s most sustainable. Developed inside a renovated factory warehouse, the hotel was built using old bricks from construction sites for the exterior and suitcases and floor boards for the interior walls.
“A homage to Frank Lloyd Wright and Neutra and the lifestyles their buildings accommodated, Chillout Sessions XII takes us to a fusion of time periods somewhere between the 50s and the 80s in the filtered light of California.”
I often talk about the light in California, and he has captured it perfectly. The artist is Andrew Van Der Westhuyzen, and his work is amazing.
